Method Validation in Spectroscopy and Spectrometry (31 May 2025)
31 May @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Mode of Conduct: Online
Description: This one-day seminar workshop is part of the PIPAC Seminar Series on Method Validation. Before methods are used in chemical analyses, it is essential to demonstrate their fitness-for-purpose through validation studies. In method validation, the different performance characteristics of the method are determined through a series of well-planned steps and the results of which are compared to the pre-determined analytical requirements. Many of the modern analytical methods used in routine testing are based on spectrophotometric methods. The instrumental techniques under this method cluster include UV-Visible, Atomic Absorption, Optical Emission, and Molecular Fluorescence Spectrophotometry.
Learning Objectives: This workshop will focus on the validation of abovementioned spectrophotometric techniques. There will be an in-depth discussion on planning and execution of the different tests to determine the instrumental and method performance characteristics. The different ways of data processing and the interpretation of the results will also be explored.
