Description: This course provides an overview of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 related to risk and opportunities. The training will focus on relevant risks and opportunities on impartiality, competence, and consistent laboratory operations. Discussion points include the risk- based approach to laboratory activities, the kinds of risks to look out for in relation to the fulfillment of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and the risk management process.
Learning Objectives: Understand the basic principles of risk management and risk-based thinking as part of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017; Effectively implement risk management principles and practices in laboratory operations; Apply learnings and conduct risk assessment, develop risk responses, and evaluate the effectiveness of actions to identified risks relevant to laboratory operation.
